‘…most influential black Briton’
Thebes’ Chairman, Ken Olisa, OBE, named ‘most influential black Briton’
The Powerlist has voted and named Thebes’ Chairman, Ken Olisa, OBE, the most influential black Briton. Chosen by the Powerlist Panel in September, Ken was ranked above other nominees for his work in tackling homelessness and poverty. The panel judged the nominees based on how influential they are in their ‘immediate sphere of expertise and how far that influence reaches beyond that’. Second on the list was Lenny Henry, followed by Sharon White, Steve McQueen and Lewis Hamilton with Mo Farah taking eight place.
Supporting the Powerlist
Thebes are delighted to have supported the Powerlist at the Powerlist Influencers Dinner 2015 in November, which aimed to support the diversification of talent at the most senior level. Set up to promote professional role models for young people of African and African Caribbean heritage, the Powerlist is currently topped by Thebes’ Chairman, Ken Olisa, OBE. Sponsored by Lloyds Banking Group, Thomson Reuters and EY, the Powerlist Influencers Dinner 2015 celebrated the achievements of those featured in the Powerlist 2016 magazine in a black tie event at the magnificent Victoria & Albert Museum.
