Duration: 6 Months Contract rolling

Daily Rate: up to £850

Essential skills: –

5+ years Consultative experience working with senior programme managers and stakeholders within Datacentre Operations. Providing recommendations and proven methodologies, you must be results driven, focused on deliverables and outputs

6+ years of broad DBMS experience with Oracle, SQL. These skills include, but are not limited to PL/SQL and performance tuning with an implementation on a large enterprise. Big data and Cloud experience is a plus. Project, Customer and Supplier management within infrastructure domain tools and services, Oracle Cloud@Customer, Large workstreams, Complex projects

Overview:

We urgently seek an experienced Senior Enterprise Solutions Consultant with Oracle background to work with our team. This is key role in delivering high impact projects across financial, business intelligence with a focus on cloud-based solutions.

The scope would be analysis of the Data Centre Operations teams – with an initial focus on Oracle and Storage but to extend and cover Data Centre Infrastructure Services, which includes engineering and delivery. The person would first need to work with the Oracle and Storage teams to document and map what they do today, what products they support and review what Oracle Cloud@Customer would offer – then identify where there are gaps. Following that a wider review of the other teams would be required to be performed.

Capability to interact and report into the Director level and has the experience and background in Data Centre Operations, Storage and Oracle.

  • 6+ years of broad DBMS experience with Oracle, SQL. These skills include but are not limited to PL/SQL and performance tuning with an implementation on a large enterprise. Big data and Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to implement tactical solutions while focusing on strategic enterprise-wide initiatives.

The Skills

  • Maintain a high degree of expertise in the use of the tools and methodologies of data analysis, database administration and performance analysis and tuning
  • Proven experience working with Financial Services Industry Data Models in an EDW context
  • Conducting assessments of the enterprise IS, collating statistics and submitting reports
  • Finding gaps in the processes, reporting, suggesting mitigating plan
  • Proven experience in providing technical leadership for a re-modelling and / or re-engineering Data Warehouse.
  • Proven experience in multiple enterprise data migration projects; preferably in financial services.
    Communicate at a business function level with technology personnel in both verbal and written communication.
  • Maintain a high degree of expertise in the use of the tools and methodologies of data analysis, particularly repository and data modelling; as well as providing technical direction,
  • Strong technical background of database architecture and data governance.
  • Strong presentation, analytical and diagnostic skill. The Value that will be delivered
  • Performing hands on technical DBA work including requirements gathering, data/database/ETL architecture analysis/design as part of database administration.
  • Ability to identify and resolve database architecture issues that might impact ability to meet requirements. Define database standards to support multiple RDBMS on various operating systems.
  • Ability to design and engineer high volume, business critical, high availability OLTP and OLAP applications.
  • A deep understanding of technical database and development work, the impact of logical design decisions on the technical database and application infrastructures.

You must have excellent written, oral, instructional, presentation and interpersonal skills focused on motivation and positive attitude.
